“ This is my favorite crawfish joint in Chattanooga. Their recipe is tasty but not too overwhelming. I love the way crawfish is served in Louisiana, simple without all the oil, butter and red spice. This place is sort of in between - it's not a thick sauce filled with cayenne, paprika, garlic, salt and butter, it's more of a gravy and yet it has just the right amount of flavor. I used to love the Boiling Crab when living in LA and have since realized I prefer something lighter on the palate. Boil Shack hits the spot. Also the employees are so sweet and the manager is so hardworking and lovely. This place definitely deserves 5 stars. ”
“ From the menu (which includes crab legs by the pound), we were expecting the building to look like a traditional seafood restaurant, but, as you drive by, the place looks like it used to be a burger joint. We drove to the parking lot. It was Thursday at around 7:30 pm, and there was no one sitting inside. We considered whether to pass based on the "fast food" appearance of the place, but, because my spouse wanted crab boil, we went inside. Great decision! Ordered at a counter. I had the fried tilapia platter, which came with fries, Cole slaw and a drink. My spouse had the 1/2 pound crab leg boil, with corn and potatoes. For the boil, my spouse got to select her spicing (garlic, old bay and a few other choices, including combination of all the spices), as well as level of spiciness (hot, medium, mild, etc). We got our drinks and sat for just a few minutes. Then the staff brought out a tray with three large and nicely breaded pieces of tilapia, a large portion of fries and a small, but very tasty portion of slaw. The tray included ketchup packets, packets of tarter sauce, hot sauce and mustard. The tilapia was delicious and I marveled at the size of the pieces, the moistness of the fish and the very nice seasoning of the breading. I was very pleased with my meal. My spouse's crab boil arrived about two minutes after mine, in a plastic bag. When she opened the bag, a beautiful and nicely seasoned portion of crab legs was revealed. My spouse thoroughly enjoyed the crab, as well as the corn and potato. It was an excellent meal. The server was friendly and s few other customers came in and we admired each other's food. We were just passing through Chattanooga, and I'm disappointed that I won't have an opportunity to go back. We definitely would have put this restaurant on our rotation for seafood. The appearance of the restaurant from the outside was a bit off-putting as being fast food, but the inside seating area was well lit, clean and comfortable. And the food was very very good. Prices also good for a decent seafood meal. ”
“ We were visiting Chattanooga and didn't know where to eat. My husband saw the sign from road and looked it up. We decided to try it. Best decision we ever made. Restaurant was clean, workers friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely amazing. And we got so much I couldn't finish. Will definitely go back anytime were close. Learned my lesson on judging before trying .. go try it!! ”
“ I had the Catfish with fries & coleslaw My friend had Jumbo shrimp with coleslaw & fries. I honestly can say it was the Best I've ever eaten. That's considering Fla. ever summer! We got it to go so it was comfortable to eat where we chose. Delicious food prepared Hot !! Never mind the outside of the bldg. It was our Krystal that was shutdown recently. ”
“ This is my favorite seafood boil in Chattanooga. The service is great. I love the flavor. I always get the boil shack special in medium and it's perfect. I use to go to pier 88 but the service is always horrible and the last few times my order was messed up and the food was salty. So this is the only seafood boil spot I'll go to. ”

I'm slowly working my way through the menu, but the boiled shrimp, fried grouper, and the wings are all great! The staff makes it easy to decide and are very helpful. Try it. You'll love it. ”
“ Another new crab place in Chattanooga and I am LOVING it! Food is delicious! The crab legs are tasty, the fried shrimp are big and in great portions for the price and the lemon pepper wings are the best I've tasted. Everything was cooked to perfection. My only small complaint is I wish the crab legs weren't so skinny but I will definitely be eating here again and again. *EDIT* I came back a month later and to my surprise the food was even BETTER than it was last month! The crab legs were THICK and nowhere skinny and seasoned VERY well! I don't remember them allowing me to choose the seasoning last time so I think thats new. I really am making this my goto crab place hoping they keep this up. ”
